New this year: We have purchased some steel targets that hang from a rack and can be set up independently of range and distance. We have 4”, 6”, and 8” size targets which ring like a gong when hit.
Wintergreen Sporting Club members will be offered four free classes this spring. There will be three classes on the water for beginners on three different days, and one class on the water for non-beginners.
Update for January 1, 2024 – Trout Pond is now open for catch and keep one a day. Fishing on the pond is restricted to Wintergreen property owners and their guests; a WPOA fishing permit must be displayed.

The fall season of the WSC Shooting Group starts with us assembling at 9 am next Monday (October 2) in the parking lot of the Stoney Creek Golf Clubhouse and proceeding to Rivanna Rifle & Pistol Club. The weather forecast for Monday looks favorable for shooting outdoors.

We are going forward with plans to stock the trout pond again this year if the fishing community again through as they have done in past years.
Thanks to Paul and Renee for opening up their wonderful home for this event. Most of the party was on their back deck and patio next to extensive open space between their house and pond next to the greens on the Tuckahoe Nine 7th and 8th greens.
Wintergreen Sporting Club’s John Morgan is now a Level 3 archery coach having attended classes and passed the tests with USA Archery in 2023.
About 50 anglers and dozens more spectators showed up in beautiful weather to compete in the fifth annual Wintergreen Trout Fishing Tournament put on by the Wintergreen Sporting Club and the Wintergreen Property Owners Association on April 29th.
The Wintergreen Sporting Club is pleased to announce the Fifth Annual Trout Fishing Tournament.
Every Monday, except for national holidays, our group will assemble at 9 am in the parking lot of the Stoney Creek Golf Clubhouse (1354 Stoney Creek West) to carpool or caravan to the Rivanna Rifle and Pistol Club* ranges.
We have some ideas about restructuring our 2023 archery sessions at the Jerry Rendich Range at Rodes Farm that we want to run by our archers.
