November 21st - The Trout Pond is now open for catch and release only. Beginning January 1st - we will institute a “keep one” regulation. Fishing on the pond is restricted to Wintergreen property owners and their guests; a WPOA fishing permit must be displayed, and a valid VA freshwater fishing license is required.

Trout Pond is stocked with Rainbow Trout in a cooperative program with the WSC and the Wintergreen Property Owners Association.  Thanks to the WSC volunteers for feeding the fish. Join us for a chili lunch to celebrate the end of the hiking year on Nov 14th at 1:00 pm. The hike to the cabin is an easy hike. In addition, there is an optional morning hike to White Rock Falls before the lunch. Hike starts at 10:00 am.

Hike Scheduled: St Mary’s Falls in St. Mary’s Wilderness Area on Friday, August 15th. The hike is a wet one with multiple stream crossings. It’s a fun hike for the summer and there is a swimming hole by the falls. HIKE IS CURRENTLY FULL.
