Hike Report: White Rock Falls Loop– May 16, 2024

On Thursday, May 16th, the WSC Hiking Group successfully completed its inaugural hike along the nearby White Rock Falls Loop trail. By all accounts, the hike was a success with twelve hikers of various ages and abilities making the 4.5 mile loop in about 3 hours. The highlights included: perfect weather with temps in the 60's and cloudless blue-bird skies; blooming pink lady slippers and mountain laurel, spectacular views from White Rock Cliff and a nice, cool, snack break at the 40' White Rock Falls cascade. Afterwards, the inaugural hike was celebrated by a few of the hikers with some beverage and food replenishment at Devils Backbone Brewery. A good time was had by all - Happy Trails!
