This year’s program came together from listening at the WSC Pistol & Rifle Group conclave at Bold Rock Cidery in February where members said they would like to see a more diverse approach to shooting with a variety of shooting types.

We will continue to shoot on Monday mornings with exceptions for holidays.  (When Monday is a Federal holiday, we will try to shoot the next day, (Tuesday) depending on the availability of the range.)

New this year:
We have purchased some steel targets that hang from a rack and can be set up independently of range and distance.  We have 4”, 6”, and 8” size targets which ring like a gong when hit.

New shooters are welcome. All new to the program receive a safety and range rules orientation before shooting.

Here’s the plan behind this year’s schedule:

  • 1st Monday of each month- we will shoot pistols on the Bullseye pistol range consisting of untimed, slow-fire, and rapid-fire pistol shooting (5 shots in 10 seconds). 

  • 2nd & 4th Monday of each month, we will shoot rifles at 50 yards and 100 yards

  • 3rd Monday of each month, we will shoot targets on the steel range and plinking range.

  • On months with 5 Mondays, (April, July & September), we will have a special shooting session. If the 5th Monday is a Federal Holiday, we will have a special event on Tuesday.  Special shooting days may include shooting military firearms, providing some training and shooting for a group of women, and other variations to our normal routine.
