Ride Report: Piney River Ride on April 27, 2022
/On a brisk sunny morning, eight riders gathered in the parking lot at the Virginia Blue Ridge Railway Trail (aka, the Piney River Railroad Trail) to kick off the Wintergreen Sporting Club’s biking group’s first ride of the season.
The weather was perfect for riding. By the time we got to the end of the rail spur (seven miles), the temperature was in the high 60s, a time to refresh and remove a jacket or two. A headwind picked up as soon as we started our return, however. Where did I put that jacket?
