Shooting Group 2021 schedule set

The WSC Shooting Group has moved back into a more normal schedule, shooting every first and third Monday of the month (with an exception for July 4, when we will shoot on July 5th), starting Monday, May 3rd. Also, we expect to hold impromptu shoots throughout the season as well.

Typically we will assemble at 9 am at Wintergreen’s Stoney Creek Golf parking lot (1354 Stoney Creek West, park in the lot away from the restaurant) so as to carpool or caravan to the ranges at the Rivanna Rifle and Pistol Club. Those who enjoy shotgun shooting will likely head out to Flying Rabbit a few times this year as well.

RRPC can utilize both the indoor and outdoor ranges, depending on which firearms you wish to shoot. And the trap shooting range will be open for shotgunners. We will stop around noon at Dr. Ho’s restaurant on Rt. 29 for those who want to eat lunch.

New this year is the WSC Pistol Shooting Challenge which is a skills development opportunity where each participant practices and demonstrates various shooting skills from novice to expert. It is NOT a competition; the challenge is a self-challenge toward developing more difficult pistol shooting skills levels.

The best way to keep up with this (and all other) WSC group is to subscribe to their email newsletters, which are free to all. Questions? Email firearms@wtgsportingclub.org.
