2021 Fishing Conclaves launches at Trout Pond
/Lenlee and I had a great time with the fishing conclave crowd that came out to the club’s first fishing conclave of the season on our deck next to Trout Pond on April 20th. Thanks to all who came. The weather was perfect.
It was 90 percent a social event, but we did talk about the schedule for this year's monthly conclaves. Ron Coté, the club president, did a nice overview about the entire club, pointing out that every group in the club was active now.
While we may change a couple of future dates, for now, please put 5/10, 6/14, 7/12, 8/9, 9/13, and 10/11 as placeholders on your calendars for the WSC fishing conclave. Monday meetings give us access to Wild Wolf Brewery, which is an ideal venue for a larger group and is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
A couple of folks have offered their houses and decks as possible conclave venues in 2021, so that may require moving the date. Also, I have heard from many weekenders/non-retired folks that the mid-week dates are hard for them to attend so I will look to try to have one conclave on a weekend, or maybe a special weekend conclave.
As for the agendas of this year's conclaves, we'll always be about sharing information with each other, but we'll also plan to have fishing experts leading some of the conclaves this year.
