Updated April 16, 2018
The Rivanna Rifle and Pistol Club is located in Albemarle County, just southwest of Charlottesville, Va. RRPC has indoor and outdoor ranges open only to RRPC members (several are WSC members) and a limited number of guests. WSC and RRPC are not affiliated. To shoot at RRPC you must be a member of RRPC or a guest of an RRPC member.
Hite Hollow
The Hite Hollow Range is an outdoor range located West of Staunton in the George Washington National Forest. The facility, which is 54 miles from Nellysford, includes both pistol and rifle shooting ranges open to the public. (Shotguns are not allowed.)
Each WSC outing to the Hite Hollow range will be confirmed when there is sufficient group member interest in shooting on a planned and publicized event day. Information about each planned outing will be sent in an email to all shoot group members at least five days in advance.
We typically assemble in the Stoney Creek clubhouse parking lot (1354 Stoney Creek West) to carpool or caravan at 10am. We arrive at Hite Hollow, west of Staunton, at around 11:20am, shoot for a couple of hours, and then head for a designated lunch spot.
Look for email notices about upcoming outings to Hite Hollow about five days before the event. In the interim, email Ron Coté if you have any questions. See here for more information about the range.
