Pop-up Hike: Cedar Cliffs/Dripping Rock/AT - Wednesday, October 7th

AT Cedar Cliff/Dripping Rock Signup:

This out-and-back trail follows the Appalachian Trail. From Wintergreen, we will connect to the AT and head south on the AT, cross the Parkway at the Dripping Park parking area, and continue on the AT. The trail has a short steep rocky section before leveling out to a moderately easy hike. This is a great hike for everyone but especially for those looking for a hike with great views.

For those in the Valley to carpool: Stoney Creek Golf Course Parking Area on Wednesday, October 7th at 9:00 am. (It is a 14 mile/30 minute drive to the trailhead from Stoney Creek)

For those on Wintergreen Mountain: meet at Laurel Springs Road/Wolftrap Lane at 9:40 am. There is a small parking area which is at the Old Appalachian Trail HERE.

Maximum Hikers: 15. Open to WSC members. Each member can bring a guest. 

Difficulty: Moderately easy. Distance: 2.9 miles Elevation Change: 350 ft, Hike Duration: 2.-2.5 hours

Bring: Daypacks, water (1 liter per person), and snacks.  Hiking poles and insect repellent are recommended.
