Hike: December 31st: End of Year Hike: Wintergreen's Laurel Drive to Cedar Cliff Overlooks

Bring snacks and water for this out and back hike on the Appalachian Trail. This hike will begin at 10:00 am and goes to Cedar Cliffs which has a great view and a nice place to sit and have a snack. Read all of the details below before signing up.
Note: This hike is moderately easy but has some short rocky parts. No dogs except service dogs are permitted on this group hike.

Cedar Cliffs Signup (Wednesday, December 31st)
For those in the Valley to carpool: Stoney Creek Golf Course Parking Area on Wednesday, December 31st at 9:20 am. (It is a 14 mile/30 minute drive to the trailhead from Stoney Creek)
For those on Wintergreen Mountain: meet at Laurel Springs Road/Wolftrap Lane at 10:00 am. There is a small parking area which is at the Old Appalachian Trail here (37.9397,-78.9379),
Trail Description: This out-and-back trail follows the Appalachian Trail. From Wintergreen, we will connect to the AT and head south on the AT. The trail has a short steep rocky section before leveling out to a moderately easy hike. This is a great hike for everyone but especially for those looking for a hike with great views.
Difficulty: Moderately Easy; Distance: 3 miles; Hike Duration: 2 hours
Bring: Daypacks, water and snacks. Trekking poles are recommended.
