Hike: Spy Rock, Thursday, November 6th

Join us as we hike to Spy Rock
The trail climbs to a spectacular view at the summit of Spy Rock. The trailhead is just an hour’s drive from Wintergreen. Read all of the details below before signing up.
Note: This hike is a moderately difficult hike. No dogs except service dogs are permitted on this group hike.

Note: The 3.8 Crabtree Meadows Road to get to the trailhead is a one-lane, unpaved gravel road with some steep and/or rocky sections. Recommended for 4wd only. Maximum number of hikers will be limited based upon the number of carpool drivers we have. If you are willing to be a driver - please indicate it on the signup.

Spy Rock Signup (Thursday, November 6th)
Please sign up each person individually.
Meet: Stoney Creek Golf Course Parking Area on Thursday, November 6th at 9:00 am. We will carpool to the trailhead. The drive will take approximately 1 hour and the last 3.8 miles are on a unpaved gravel road.
Trail Description: This 6.9 mile loop trail climbs to the top of Spy Rock.
Difficulty: Moderately Difficult (1,400 ft elevation gain and loss). Distance: 6.9 miles; Hike Duration: 3.5 to 4 hours
Bring: Daypacks, water (1 liter minimum per person), snacks and lunch. We will eat lunch at the top. Trekking poles are recommended.
