Biking group members are asking for a schedule of group rides for this year’s biking season, so to get started I have assembled a list of day rides within two hours of Stoney Creek for April and May. See below.
More detail on parking location, the ride, as well as activity after the ride will be coming on each of these rides. I’m sure some of you are familiar with or have traveled these trails before.
Looking ahead to the months of June and July, let's look at traveling further and plan overnight stays. Some examples for this summer might include The Greenbrier Trail, The Capital Trail, Harpers Ferry, and Williamsburg. The North Carolina contingent WSC (the Tirol Bikers) have suggested rides such as the Gettysburg Battle Bike Tour and Peninsular Bike Ride (Richmond to Williamsburg).
Send in your suggestions. You will be receiving a questionnaire requesting feedback regarding preferred days, time of day (morning, early afternoon), and far-away ride preferences.
