2019 Archery Invitational Tournament & Picnic

First place and best recurve bow with sight - John Morgan (85 out of 90)

Second Place and best compound bow - Robin Pullen (80 out of 90)

Third Place and best bare recurve bow - Charles Batchelor (69 out of 90)

The Wintergreen Sporting Club 2019 Archery Invitational Tournament & Picnic on October 22 went exactly as planned, which is to say it rained on Tuesday, so the meal was moved to the Rodes Farm pavilion and the tournament was held on Wednesday. The rain delay on the tournament on Wednesday reduced the number of archers to eight.

Some 20 folks showed for the picnic. Group Lead Mike Capps brought paper plates, glassware and such, and everyone brought a dish to share. Mary Anne Batchelor’s colorful vintage tablecloths helped create a very nice setting. Everyone contributed $5 for fried chicken from Ashley’s.
