13 small bass caught on the Fourth of July

WSC member George Cipra added a little fishing to the mix on the 4th of July long weekend. He took his daughter to the pond above our Stoney Creek trout pond in the evening of July 4th. The weedy pond is aggravating for most to fish with even weedless rigs producing grass. But, they also produce fish. Within a short span of time 13 small bass– 1 to 1.5 lbs–were caught and released. George says the favored rig was a small jig head with white or yellow Mr. Twister tails.
