The 5.9-mile Mount Pleasant hike near Buena Vista in Amherst County is a loop that can be done as a day hike. Mount Pleasant is in the Pedlar Ranger District of George Washington National Forest and has a beautiful viewpoint along the hike.

The shotgun program of the WSC’s shooting group shoots trap every Friday at the Rivanna Rifle and Pistol Club. They leave for RRPC at 9 am from the Stoney Creek Golf parking lot. They shoot year round, rain or shine (but not snow).

There are also often impromptu events including sporting clays at other ranges. Club newsletters will provide additional information. All members are welcomed.

To receive emails on events, sign up the club’s free email newsletters or email shotgun@wtgsportingclub.org and ask about the most recent plans. Members participating in a shotgun event must respond to the group leaders’ announcement emails. 

All WSC archers are invited to meet every Tuesday at the Jerry Rendich Archery Range at Rodes Farm for practice.  Coaching for newcomers or others is offered for the first 30-40 minutes.
