Updated Biking Schedule for April and May

New! The Chessie Trail in Lexington is set for this Sunday afternoon (April 25). This trail follows the Maury River as it winds through the beautiful countryside and pastures full of grazing cattle. It's short notice, but a must ride! Sunday's forecasted light rain should be gone by the afternoon. See below for details.

Also, the date for our Farmville High Bridge Trail ride must be changed due to continued work on the bridge. The park service confirmed the work will be completed by late May, so the High Bridge ride date is being exchanged with the Lynchburg date.

And, we're still looking ahead to the months of June and July. Give me your feedback. Again, this might include The Greenbrier Trail, The Capital Trail, Harpers Ferry, and Williamsburg. The North Carolina contingent WSC (the Tirol Bikers) have suggested rides such as the Gettysburg Battle Bike Tour and Peninsular Bike Ride (Richmond to Williamsburg).

The Piney River Railway Trail ride on Wednesday (April 21) went well. The five of us enjoyed a beautiful day, but it was windy. A report with photos is forthcoming.
