Spring Bass Fishing Tournament

2017 Fall Bass Tournament WSC copy 2.jpg

Our spring tournament will again start with a sign-in in the parking area to the rear of Monocan Clubhouse at Lake Monocan beginning at 3:45 PM and then all will disperse to their favorite pond to fish. All will stop fishing at 6 PM and meet back the Monacan Clubhouse parking area. Here we will find out who caught the big one. There is no fee to enter this WSC event.

The winner will receive a gift certificate to the Field and Stream Store in Charlottesville.  Liquid refreshments will be available at the conclusion of the tournament.

The winner will be based on the weight, not the length, of the fish so fishermen and fisherwomen will need a scale with them. (An inexpensive fish scale can be purchased from Walmart for around $8.) We'll have a few loaner scales for those who forget to bring one.

The tournament is based on the honor system. A smartphone photo of the big one you caught will definitely be helpful and save you from a little ribbing. If your fish catching story is just too far-fetched, then a polygraph exam will be required to be taken before you can collect your prize.
