WSC Member John Holman has been fishing Wintergreen's ponds for years. In recent years he has caught at least one seven lb, or above, Largemouth Bass each year. (The photo here was taken last year.) His largest was a 9.4 lb whopper. Last week, he caught 23 Largemouth Bass in one evening on one of Wintergreen's ponds, including one weighing 3.5 lbs.

Needless to say, John Holman knows:

Clinic is on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, 5pm. Park in the area behind the clubhouse building at the end of Camping Ridge. This is the same pond where fly fishing classes were held.

  • which baits to fish during the various times of the year,
  • how to fish those baits, and
  • the locations in Wintergreen where you are likely to find hungry bass.

Don't miss our Tuesday, Sept. 27 bass clinic at 5pm at the pond just above the trout pond, behind the Monocan Clubhouse. (See map below.) John will share with WSC members many of his proven bass fishing methods, and maybe a few of his secrets.

This clinic should encourage more fishermen to fish and catch the big bass inhabiting Wintergreen's ponds. Please join us. Questions? Email fishing@wtgsportingclub.org.
